The Ad of the Century!

(Okay, I'm embellishing the truth just a bit but all of us artists at www.spookytimejingles.com are really excited!)
Here it is - Dani Nelson scored the back cover in Stampington's Holidays 2009 mag, available 9/1! Chris Klinger's artwork and David Everett's design. Amazing team!!

Trick or Treating Original Halloween Painting!

Currently on eBay, this painting is done on a gallery wrapped canvas and has a cute hand sculpted pumpkin securely attached to the top. 3 black cats in the painting and one to your right hanging out on the 'faux' frame. One of a kind Halloween art!

Thanks for looking - have a wonderful week!

Another Hot Day!

I was inside most of the day, trying to get some loose ends tied up - it was incredibly hot out. Guess I had the a/c too high because as soon as I started to sort some laundry, Sammie and her boyfriend Jake showed up to snuggle up in the warmth. You might recall that last time I blogged a photo of Jake, he was snuggled up with Gracie. The man gets around. He has 8 years and 10 pounds on Sammie but she really doesn't care - he's her main squeeze.
Outside in the heat, this frog wasn't sure if he wanted to take a dive or not.

Black Cat in the Pumpkin Patch Painting!

Here's a new original painting done with acrylics on wood that will list on eBay this evening at 9:00 pm eastern time. Featuring my little black cat, Bella, in the Halloween pumpkin patch! It's Halloween fun with big orange pumpkins, a periwinkle sky, a full harvest moon, spooky bats and creepy trees.

I'm thinking I'll only be listing on eBay twice a week now so I can get caught up on my other projects and get my new Etsy store stocked. Famous last words, I know, but I really need to get caught up before there's an avalanche of unfinished art in my studio. Anyway, I'm thinking perhaps Sunday night and mid week listings for eBay. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks so much for looking! Hope the rest of your week is wonderful!

Candy Corn Black Cat in a Cone, Halloween Folk Art

I seem to have a difficult time getting anything accomplished lately. The pool is open, the grandkids have been visiting, Jim's getting home early from work (how dare he) and it's hot as you know where here. Ah, August - I run into this same problem same time every year.
However, here's a piece I finished this afternoon. Listing on eBay tonight at 9:00 p.m., eastern time.

Thanks for looking - have a beautiful week!

Black Cat Clown Art Doll and Ventriloquist Dummy!

Okay, here are a few fairly decent photos. I LOVE making these dolls but I get very frustrated taking photos for my listings! If I had the money, I'd hire an art photographer (and a chef too since cooking isn't my thing!).
This guy is a Halloween carnival clown. He's button jointed and made of soft cotton fabrics and stuffed with polyfil just as the dummy is. His head, feet and hands are painted with acrylics. He also has a tail painted on back. Lots of fun vintage style trims - both he and the dummy wear an authentic Victorian antique black glass button. The clown's is on his collar and the dummy's is on his tummy. The dummy has button jointed arms and is sewn onto the clowns right arm.
This gothic duo will list on eBay this evening. I'll have more photos in the actual listing. Come visit!

Hope you enjoy the doll and have a wonderful day!

Along Came a Spider...

Under the full moon, this violet eyed magical cat lies in wait for a passing field mouse. A gentle rustle above catches his attention as a black spider swings down for a friendly hello.

This black cat and spider painting was done on solid pine with professional acrylics and can be found on eBay here:
