Three new listings in my Etsy shop --
These two dolls are made of cloth with painted heads and are about 7.75" in height.
Rocky is the black cat who loves snow.
Cookie is the Ginger cat who loves Gingerbread (and all cookies in general).
And here's a new Black Cat LE print in 8" x 8" or 6" x 6" size. Some of us like bedtime stories and others would rather sleep!

I'm Back!
I've been lurking around the house, faithfully taking the boatload of antibiotics my doctor prescribed and drinking tons of water and I'm happy to say I AM BACK TO THE REAL WORLD. So much in fact, that I went grocery shopping this morning. The store was MOBBED! No butter left! People had carts full of baking ingredients and fixings for next Thursday. I'm so excited because Thanksgiving is at my house and although I count my blessings everyday, it's a rare treat to have my family members in one place at one time for one meal. I'm just floating with joy and the warmth of the season.
So, let's catch up on all of the GOOD stuff that's going on.
First of all - The Monster Doll Swap - hosted by my friend, Zan, of Wild at Heart Art. My partner was Deanna Larson of Lincoln, Nebraska. Her name sounds like a movie star, doesn't it? And, wow, is she talented. Take a look at this guy. He arrived early November I believe (the last few weeks have all melded together) and has been faithfully sitting on a 'no cats allowed shelf' in my kitchen. I've been sort of isolated lately so it was such a joy to have this critter to look at and admire! Part cat, part devil -- can you see the cloven hooves? This is indeed a combination I am familiar with. Big smile - Deanna is a cat person too. Zan should run a dating service because she found the perfect partner for me.
And here's the wacky guy I sent to Deanna - it's Frankencat. This little note that I sent along with him will explain:
It was a fun swap and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Next BIG announcement is about Hobbes, our kitty with oral lymphosarcoma. He was sedated a few weeks ago while the doctors did a full oral exam looking for the tumor that was at the base of his tongue. It's really gone. He is officially in remission and his chemo regimine has been reduced to every other week rather than weekly. Hobbes is eating, playing and having a grand old time. He's put on a few pounds and we're hopeful this indicates that he'll be around with us for a while. 60% of cats make it to this point so his remission isn't unusual. What was strange was the location of his tumor and the fact it hadn't spread throughout his gastric system. Because the primary site of his cancer wasn't the norm, the vets really couldn't tell us the odds for his making it this far so needless to say we are all very happy. It's been 8 months since his diagnosis - here's hoping for more progress the next 8.
And finally, at least for this post, here's something I've been working on. Actually, I've started quite a few things lately - about 7 oil paintings, none of which are drying - a few dolls - a few ornaments... All in various states of doneness or undoneness depending on whether your cup is half empty or half full. But these guys will be finished and are almost there. A basket of Christmas kitties! I'll let you know when I list them.
Thanks for visiting. Take care and stay healthy!!

Dear Friend,
Please Beware
and
Open with Care
as a Monster awaits
inside this crate!
Freshly baked from the Nelson Catbratory...
A pinch of Siamese
and a dash of Tuxedo
a teaspoon of Orange Tabby
and a smidge of Gray Tabby
a quarter cup of Calico
and a heaping tablespoon of Black cat
I blended it all together
then added a cup of Persian (tail)
Voila!
It's FrankenCat!
It was a fun swap and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Two New ACEOs on eBay
Hi all, hope everyone is well. I've been hit with a respiratory virus and have been literally down and out the last few days. Now it's time to catch up. Here are two ACEOs I listed on eBay last night. Both are done with oils on illustration board and are still a bit wet which is why you see some white reflections on the wolf's snout. They'll be completely dry by the time the auctions end though (I use water soluable oils which dry faster than the standard version).
These have a combination Christmas and Wildlife theme.
Tomorrow or later today I'll be posting the wonderful MONSTER doll I received from the Monster swap!
Hope your week is merry!

Come visit me at http://www.spookytimejingles.com/ on 11/13 and see some close-ups!

Ellen, the Thanksgiving Angel, and Henry, her cat - New Art Doll on eBay!
Can it be that Thanksgiving is just a matter of a few weeks away?
Ellen and Henry are one of a kind cloth art dolls made of my own design. Deep rich, autumnal colors, and lots of whimsical vintage trims. Ellen is a large 27" and can sit independently or be hung via a cord sewn thru her back. She wears a very stunning top hat - a bit steampunk in her own folksie way.
You will find her here for a limited time:
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Lisa
